Are you locally owned?
Bradford Pet Hospital is proud to be locally owned and operated. Dr. Allen Baldridge acquired the practice in 2020, and we’re committed to providing personalized, family-focused veterinary care to our local community.
What kinds of pets do your veterinarians treat?
We provide complete care for the furry family members you know best: dogs and cats! Additionally, we welcome common pocket pets like hamsters, guinea pigs, and rabbits.
Are you accepting new patients?
Absolutely! We’re thrilled to welcome you and your pets to our growing family.
Do you accept walk-in appointments?
To ensure we provide every patient with timely and thorough care, we are appointment-only. This policy helps us keep wait times to a minimum and give your pet the individual attention they deserve. We do reserve a limited number of same-day appointments specifically for sick or urgent cases; to secure one of these, please call us first thing in the morning.

Yes! We offer payment plans through Cherry, allowing you to pay over time in smaller installments, with up to 6 months 0% interest. We also take All Pet Card, Care Credit, all major credit cards, and cash payments.

What calming techniques do you use for nervous pets?
To help nervous or anxious pets feel more comfortable, we use a variety of calming techniques in our hospital. Our goal is to make every visit as stress-free as possible.
We use pheromones throughout our hospital, including Zenidog for dogs and Zenifel for cats, to create a soothing environment. Our entire team is also trained to work with nervous pets by taking our time and using a gentle approach, rather than forcing or fighting them. Offering lots of tasty treats can also help build a positive association with their visit.
For pets with more significant anxiety, we can recommend anti-anxiety medication to be given at home prior to their appointment. Please let us know ahead of time if your pet is nervous so we can discuss the best plan for their visit.
What should I bring to my pet's first visit?
To help us get started smoothly and provide the best care, please bring the following items to your pet’s first appointment:
- Any previous medical records and vaccination history.
- A list of your pet’s current medications.
- A fresh stool sample (this can often save you a trip!).
- A list of questions or concerns you have.
A few important safety tips:
- Dogs must be secured on a leash at all times while in the clinic.
- Please use a secure carrier for cats.
- If your pet is anxious, bringing their favorite treats or toy can help ease their stress.
How often should my pet have an exam?
A twice-yearly wellness exam is one of the best things you can do for your pet’s long-term health. Since our pets can’t tell us how they feel, they often hide signs of pain or illness until a condition has become very advanced. These regular check-ups allow us to closely monitor their health and catch any potential issues early—which is especially important for senior pets (7+ years) and those with ongoing health conditions. Because our pets age so much faster than we do, a lot can change in just six months!
Do you offer physical rehabilitation services?
We do! We offer physical rehabilitation services to help pets recover from surgery, manage arthritis, or improve mobility and balance. Our programs are tailored to each pet’s needs and can include therapeutic exercises, stretches, cold laser therapy, and other non-invasive therapies to help improve their quality of life.
What areas near Olathe, KS does Bradford Pet Hospital serve?
We proudly serve the entire Kansas City metro and Johnson County area. Our convenient location right on the Olathe and Overland Park border ensures that top-quality care is easily accessible to your family.
