Veterinary Receptionist

Veterinary Receptionist – Full-Time

Bradford Pet Hospital | Olathe, KS

Who We Are

Bradford Pet Hospital is a locally owned veterinary clinic in Olathe, Kansas, where pets are treated as family—and we actually mean it. We’re not a corporate chain churning patients through the door. We take our time, build real relationships with our clients, and create a space where both pets and their humans feel genuinely cared for.

We’re looking for a full-time receptionist who gets that. Someone who wants to be part of a small, tight-knit team where your work actually matters.

What You’ll Do

You’re the first voice our clients hear and the first face they see. That’s a big deal to us. Your day will include:

  • Answering phones with warmth and actually listening to what clients need
  • Scheduling appointments and keeping things running smoothly
  • Checking clients in and out, processing payments
  • Communicating with our veterinary team to make sure nothing falls through the cracks
  • Keeping the front desk organized and the lobby welcoming
  • Being a calm, reassuring presence—even when things get hectic

Who You Are

Let’s be real about what we’re looking for:

  • You show up. On time, ready to work, with a good attitude. Every day.
  • You can think on your feet. Phones ringing, client at the desk, dog barking in the back—you handle it.
  • You’re genuinely friendly. Not fake-customer-service friendly. Actually friendly.
  • You leave your baggage at the door. We all have hard days, but when you’re here, you’re present.
  • You’re comfortable with computers. You don’t need to be a tech wizard, but you can navigate scheduling software and basic office programs.
  • You care about animals. That probably goes without saying, but we’re saying it anyway.

Prior veterinary or medical reception experience is a plus, but attitude and reliability matter more to us than a perfect resume.

What We Offer

  • A supportive team that respects you and values your contribution
  • A work environment that isn’t toxic (we know that’s sadly rare in this industry)
  • The chance to build real relationships with clients and their pets
  • Competitive pay based on experience

Veterinary Technician – Full-Time

Bradford Pet Hospital | Olathe, KS

Who We Are

Bradford Pet Hospital is a locally owned clinic serving Olathe, Overland Park, and the surrounding Kansas City area. Our philosophy is simple: pets are family, and we treat them that way. We’re not interested in rushing through appointments or squeezing in as many patients as possible. We give our doctors and staff the time to do things right.

We’re looking for a full-time veterinary technician who wants to practice medicine the way it should be practiced—with patience, skill, and genuine compassion.

What You’ll Do

You’ll work closely with our veterinarians to provide high-quality care across a variety of services, including:

  • Assisting with examinations, restraint, and patient handling
  • Administering medications and vaccines
  • Preparing patients for surgery and monitoring anesthesia
  • Collecting samples and running in-house lab work
  • Taking and processing radiographs
  • Providing client education and post-visit follow-up
  • Maintaining a clean, organized treatment area
  • Supporting dental procedures and cleanings
  • Assisting with physical rehabilitation when needed

We see dogs, cats, and pocket pets, so variety is part of the job.

Who You Are

This role requires technical skill, but we’re equally interested in your character:

  • You take initiative. You don’t wait to be told what to do—you see what needs doing and you do it.
  • You’re calm under pressure. Emergencies happen. Anxious pets happen. You keep your head.
  • You communicate clearly. With clients, with doctors, with the rest of the team.
  • You’re reliable. Full stop. We need someone we can count on.
  • You’re still learning. Even experienced techs don’t know everything, and we value people who are honest about that.
  • You actually like this work. Not just tolerating it. Liking it.

CVT/RVT credential is preferred but not required. Experience in a veterinary clinic is expected. Fear-Free certification or willingness to learn low-stress handling techniques is a plus.

What We Offer

  • A respectful, supportive work environment (no drama, no toxic culture)
  • 30-minute minimum appointments—time to actually practice good medicine
  • A small team where your voice matters
  • Opportunities to grow your skills
  • Competitive compensation based on experience
