FAQs
About Our Veterinary Services
Do you offer house calls or mobile services?
For existing and established clients, we may offer limited in-home euthanasia services on a case-by-case basis. Please call us directly to inquire about availability and scheduling for this specialized service.
If I need a refill, what is the best way to request it?
Getting a refill is easy! You can request it directly through our online store, use the handy Otto chat box on our website, or just call or text the hospital with your information. Because our wonderful veterinarians need time to review your pet’s chart before approval, please allow 24–48 hours for your refill to be processed.
Do you offer physical rehabilitation services?
We do! We offer physical rehabilitation services to help pets recover from surgery, manage arthritis, or improve mobility and balance. Our programs are tailored to each pet’s needs and can include therapeutic exercises, stretches, cold laser therapy, and other non-invasive therapies to help improve their quality of life.
Can’t I just brush my pet’s teeth instead of a professional dental cleaning?
Just like in humans – daily brushing is essential, but it can’t replace professional care. A professional cleaning allows us to safely remove tartar, and to assess and treat dental disease that hides below the gumline using digital X-rays. This is where painful and damaging periodontal disease occurs, and it is impossible to see or treat while your pet is awake.
What types of pets do you see?
We provide complete care for the furry family members you know best: dogs and cats! Additionally, we welcome common pocket pets like hamsters, guinea pigs, and rabbits.
How do your Preventive Care Packages save me money?
Our packages bundle all the essential preventive services—including annual vaccines, exams, and routine diagnostics—into one predictable, discounted cost. By paying for services through a package, you receive a lower overall rate than if you paid for each service separately, allowing you to budget for your pet’s wellness without financial surprises.
Do I need to do anything to prepare my pet for diagnostic testing?
We will always provide you with specific, detailed instructions if a test requires certain protocols (such as an ultrasound or specialized urine collection). If you are ever unsure about how to prepare your pet for an upcoming appointment, just give us a call!
What types of surgeries do you perform?
Our surgical services are comprehensive, covering routine spays and neuters, dental cleanings, and soft tissue surgeries (like tumor removals and bladder stone extractions). Our team includes doctors highly experienced in these areas, and for complex cases, we host a traveling orthopedic surgeon who performs specialty procedures on-site.
What diagnostic tests can you perform in-house?
We have a complete in-house laboratory to get fast, accurate results for your pet. This allows us to quickly diagnose and start treatment for many common conditions. Some of the tests we can perform include but are not limited to:
- Complete Blood Counts (CBC) and Chemistry Panels to assess organ function and overall health
- Urinalysis to check for urinary tract infections or kidney disease
- Cortisol testing to diagnose hormonal conditions like Cushing’s or Addison’s disease
- Cytologies (in-house microscopic exams) to quickly identify skin, ear, or mass issues
- Fecal Exams to screen for intestinal parasites
- Heartworm, tick-borne disease, FeLV, and FIV tests for early detection
How often does my senior pet need wellness care?
We recommend a full wellness exam for senior pets every six months. As pets age quickly, their risk for conditions like arthritis, heart disease, diabetes, and kidney failure increases dramatically. More frequent exams and routine bloodwork allow us to track their health and begin managing age-related issues as early as possible, keeping them comfortable and active for longer.
